Come and walk with us, my friend In our dream-like toddler trot Through a world of play pretend Where some is real and some is not

Let's go Walkabout
Walkabout is a puzzling adventure game, where a group of small beings travels
through a vast and beautiful world. As the player you do not control the small
beings themselves, but rather the entire world. It can at any time be rotated a
full 360 degrees, and when it does the physics will kick in and affect various
pendulums, balance boards and drawbridges throughout the level. Get ready for some serious twisting.
The ceiling is just another floor
As the world goes around and around, there is really no such thing as up and down.
A wall can at any time become a floor, and when something nasty appears in front of
you, you can simply flip the world and have it pass above your head.
The gravity, however, always points downwards, and that’s what makes the pendulums
sway and loose objects to fall. Physics plays a big part in this game.
Meet the walkabouts
And the group of creatures who have to undergo all this, who are they? The so called walkabouts are most of all odd.
They are a bit cute too, but mostly they’re odd. They come in many different shapes and sizes, but are easily recognized
by their bright orange hair and long, blue coats. Not much is known about this strange people, but one thing is for certain:
They do enjoy their walking.
But where are they going?
And so for the question on everyone’s mind; where are they heading? What is the purpose of their grand esplanade? And the answer: What does it matter?
Why must the Tetris blocks land on top of each other? Why must the soccer ball be kicked into the goal? It doesn’t really matter
where they are going, as long as they get there. After all, they are just walking about.
What gave birth to this oddity?
Walkabout was always meant to be an in-house production, and in the end, it very much is. All art, including animations,
where made in Photoshop, and the actual game was build in Torque Game Engine. The music for the game was created in Fruity Loops. The walkabout voices was made by Elna Persson.
